Secretary’s Report

March 7, 2011

Meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm by Jim Sellman, President.

Welcome provided by Jim Sellman. Two Boys have made it to states in Wrestling. Girls Basketball made it into the second round of district playoffs. Boys Basketball made it into the first round of district playoffs.

Treasurer’s Report – Beth Lynch

• Question was raised about why the Field Hockey account is negative. Jim Sellman provided explanation regarding fundraising situation. The team is expected to be paid off by the end of the school year.
• Approved with no changes.

Secretary’s Report – Shelley Kratz

• Approved with no changes.

AD Report – Mickey McDaniels

• Mickey McDaniels was not in attendance due to illness.

Team Parent Reports

• Swimming – 2 Boys and 2 Girls going to states. Raised $920 from their fundraising event.
• Track – 1^st home meet on March 30^th – good turnout this year.

Old Business:

• Bingo License – Question as to whether other groups in tbe school district can use the bingo license that we own. The Booster Club has responsibility for the license and our name would need to be on all advertisements for bingos.
• Presidents Meeting – Next meeting is scheduled for March 31^st.
  • Spirit Wear – Amy James/Shelley Kratz – No new updates.
  • Summit Awards – Beth Triolo – Have not heard anything on a date as of yet.
  • Scholarships – Paula Weiss – application is available on the website and through the Future Planning Center at the 10-12 building. Will determine how many scholarships to give out once we know how many applications we receive. Will be asking for volunteers for the selection committee. Email will be sent to all members.
  • Fundraising – There are no fundraisers currently going on.

Standing Committees

• Air Band – Shelley Kratz – Air Band is scheduled for Saturday, April 16. 10-12 volunteers are needed to help during the event. Girls Basketball team will be running the concessions stand during the event. Applications due by March 18.
• Membership – Shelley Kratz – No new updates.
• Programs – Nothing new to report.

New Business

• Beth Triolo volunteered to be the nominating committee chairperson to accept nominations for next years board positions. Anyone interested in becoming a board member should contact Beth Triolo.
