Standing Committees
Awards - Team Parent, Chairperson
The Award Committee is chaired by the team parent for each team. The Award Committee is responsible for coordinating the PAC-10 Championship celebrations and Senior Athletic Awards. The Chairperson is also responsible for ensuring the championship is recognized on the Spring-Ford High School sign and any other means through the district. The committee is active as necessary depending on individual teams accomplishments.
Finance -
The Finance Committee monitors the expenses and treasury growth. The Finance Committee regularly reviews the accounting of the inflows and outflows of cash to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Fundraising - The Fundraising Committee reviews and approves team fundraising events to ensure that the teams can optimize their fundraising opportunities. The fundraising committee provides general membership announcements via email and the website to keep all members up-to-date on team and club fundraising activities. The committee is responsible for developing club fundraising events to raise general club funds. The committee meets regularly to review incoming team requests and discuss ideas.
Homecoming -
The Homecoming Committee helps to organize volunteers for various homecoming activites including moving barracades during the parade, organizing teams and groups at the beginning of the parade and any other assistance that the Parade Committee may need. This committee is active in October during homecoming week.
Membership - Cynthia Irrera, Chairperson
The Membership Committee is responsible for increasing Booster Club membership by raising awareness of the Booster Club. The goal of the committee is 100% athletic parent participation. The committee is active throughout the school year.
Scholarship - Paula Weiss, Chairperson
The Scholarship Committee receives and reviews the application from senior athletes for the annual Booster Club Scholarship Awards. The committee determines the recipients of the awards each year. The committee is active primarily during April and May.
Spirit Wear - Amy James and Shelley Kratz, Co-Chairpersons
The Spirit Wear committee organizes the selection and sales of spirit wear during the year. The Booster Club maintains a shack in Coach McNelly stadium which is open at all home varsity football games and other select events. The committee also determines other venues for sales such as local community days and "Meet the Teacher" nights at the area schools. This committee is ongoing throughout the year.
Summit Awards -
The Sumnmit Award Committee is responsible for celebrating the exceptional student athletes across tthe Pioneer Athletic Conference. Award categories are based on various components, including but not limited to, athletics, community service, academics and hardship. The committee is actiive during the months of April, May and June with the award ceremony being held in June each year.
Teacher Appreciation -
The Booster Club and the SF Music Association share responsibility for providing a luncheon celebration to recognize the teachers and staff of the Spring-Ford High School. Responsibility for the luncheon celebration alternates each year with the Booster Club assuming responsibility in even numbered years and the SF Music Association assuming responsibility in odd numbered years. The luncheon is held at the 10-12 building. This committee is active during April and May in even numbered years.
50/50 Fundraising - Shelley Kratz, Chairperson
The 50/50 Committee is responsible for organizing the sale of 50/50 raffle tickets at various home games throughout the year. The Committee selects a winning ticket with 50% of the sales going to the ticket holder and the remaining 50% going to the Booster Club general fund. The committee is active primarily during the football and basketball seasons and may consider expanding this to other sports within the school district.
